Love is the concern you see in your mother's eyes when she wishes out loud that she would be sick instead of you because that would hurt less for her, the warmth you feel when she stays up all night watching over you while your dad runs to the pharmacy at 3 in the morning. It's the moment you suddenly realize you miss that annoying middle school friend who followed you around everywhere, poking you incessantly and jabbering loudly about anime while you were trying to study. You realize that she genuinely cared about you. Love is those rare, unexpected moments when he gives you a quick, honest answer. It's the look he gives you after he kisses you that makes your eyes dart in another direction to stop you from melting. Love is watching your best friend's van pull out of your driveway. It hits you hard the next day when you realize that this time the van is taking her to Michigan, not back to 11932 Blanfield Drive. You never cry, but now as you remember meeting her for the first time eight years ago, you can't stop. Love is what eharmony tries to find for you. They don't understand that the truest kind of love forms unprovoked, unsearched for. It's slow to develop, and sometimes you know it's there the whole time, but other times, you don't see it until it hits you over the head. Love is not something you gossip about; it's unspoken. Love is patient, kind, forgiving, selfless, unbashful, courageous. Love is full of thought but requires none. It's what you and I live for.

So my great idea for a black and white photogram? Took me FOREVER to cut out (not to mention using a tiny little blade that killed my finger) and probably isn't even gonna work. What was I thinking?? )

how I feel about my classes

1 - photography : holy crap I have to buy a lot of stuff, this had better be sweet (where do I get all this stuff??? and camera??) a bunch of people switched out of religions!!! cuz it's apparently hard work. so I could switch in, but I'd also like a slack class, so I believe I'll stay with photography. maybe it will be fun. :P can always take religions in college.
2 - environmental : seems neato!
3 - AP chem : A++! I vigorously enjoyed it. also many of my favourite junior buddies are in it (kammie, daniel, angie, cory, etc.). I forgot I had junior friends. :P new teacher  = cool! also = speaks sporadically in spanish and pig latin
4 - modern political theory : Sorrentino!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cries of delight!
5 - math modeling : AWESOME
6 - AP literature : bueno! Mr. Waller is fly
7 - study hall : YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
8 - architecture : hooray for Mr. Slipek and awesomeness and fieldtrips!!

overall = A++++

After seeing Alex Chiou's amazing painting on her LJ, I thought about paints and water colors and things.

I always thought water colors looked like this:

You know, mix water and chalk, can't really see anything when you try to paint with it. But then I remembered that I bought a set of water colors in China, and I guess water colors actually come in tubes, like this )

So last weekend, I journeyed to the exotic Shenandoah Mountains.
There, I came in close contact with several fantastic specimen,
including a doe, a  bear, a sunset, a dragon, and a
crazy girl who liked to smash ice cubes at a wall
. How exciting!

My piano teacher asks me, "Did you get straight A's?" I say, "Oh, nooo. Nonono." She says, "GOOD! People who get straight A's are soooooooooooooo BO-ring! My mom always got straight A's, and I have never met a duller person." Then her husband says in the epitome of Russian accents, "wooeteboouuurg! vee! Bernice pereptomy veeeleee!! shtaah?" (or something to that effect), and shakes my hand. Later, my piano teacher gives me a creamsicle. And I remember why I still take piano.
